Soft & Spongy Gujarati Sweet Khaman Dhokla Recipe

Gujarati Sweet Khaman Dhokla
 
Hi friends. Welcome to Jyoti's Housewife Diary. Today, I am going to post a Gujarati Khaman Dhokla recipe. It is sweet, soft and spongy. It is a famous dish of Gujarat and liked all over the world.

 Ingredients
  • Besan (Gram flour)         1 Bowl
  • Sooji                               1 tablespoon
  • Curd (Dahi)                     1 tablespoon
  • Coriander leaves            1 tablespoon chopped 
  • Ginger Paste                  1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder            1/3 teaspoon
  • Salt                                 According to taste
  • Refined Oil                     1 teaspoon
  • ENO Powder                  1 Packet


Method of Preparation
  
Preparation Of Dhokla batter

Take besan in a bowl.


Add 1 tablespoon Sooji.


Add 1/3 teaspoon Turmeric powder


Add 1/2 teaspoon Ginger paste


Add Salt according to taste

 

Add 1 tablespoon curd in the bowl
 
 

Add 1 tablespoon chopped Coriander leaves


Add 1 teaspoon refined oil


Add water accordingly to make thick batter


Now Mix them well


  

Now take microwave safe pan


  
Take 1 teaspoon refined oil and spread it properly throughout the pan (grease it) as shown below


Now pour the batter created earlier in this pan
 

Take 1 teaspoon ENO and add to the batter


Now mix the batter quickly so as to look little bubbly like below


The Dhokla batter is ready. Put the pan in the microwave

  

Leave it for 4-5 minutes. After that check for the doneness by inserting a knife in the dhokla. If it is not done then again leave it for 1-2 minutes in microwave. 
 

 

Our dhokla is ready. Now its time to temper and garnish the dhokla

Ingredients for tempering and garnishing

  • Coconut                     1 tablespoon grated
  • Coriander leaves       1 tablespoon
  • Sugar                         2 tablespoon
  • Curry Leaves             8-10 leaves (Kadi patta)
  • Mustard Seeds          1 teaspoon
  • Refined                      1 teaspoon
  • Green Chili                 3-4 long and cut from middle
  • Water                         1-2 cup


Take 1 teaspoon refined oil in a pan


Add mustard seed in the pan



Add curry leaves


Add green chili

Add water accordingly



Add 1 tablespoon sugar


  

Add grated coconut


Add coriander leaves



Now take this mixture in a bowl




Take the dhokla in a plate and cut like this.


Garnish the dhokla with grated coconut



Pour the tempering mixture evenly over the khaman dhokla


Wow! Our sweet, spongy khaman dhokla is ready to serve.

Banana-Sabudana-Groundnuts Ki Tikki Recipe
Hi friends. Today, I am going to post the recipe of "Banana-Sabudana-Groundnuts Ki Tikki". India is a country of Festivals like Navaratri, Shivratri, fast in month of Saavan etc.. Indians celebrate them by keeping a day long fast and can have only fruits or items made up of fruits. This dish is for them and since this is prepared of fruits so it is also called "Falahari Tikki". It is very healthy, tasty and easy and quick to cook.

Ingredients
  • Banana                             6 pieces boiled and mashed
  • Sabudana (Sago)               1 bowl soaked in water
  • Groundnuts                      1 bowl roasted and crushed
  • Green Chili                       1 teaspoon chopped
  • Sendha Salt                       According to taste
  • Ghee                                To Cook


Method of Preparation
Take boiled bananas in a dish. Take Sabudana squeezed from water in the dish. 


 
Add roasted and crushed groundnuts, chopped green chili and sendha salt.


 
Now mix them well and make balls of equal sizes and them shape them like tikki.

Take a pan and put some ghee on it and heat. Now place the tikki on the pan and fry from both side till it gets golden brown.

Now your tikki is ready to eat.

Matar Mushroom Masala Recipe


Matar Mushroom Masala Recipe
Hi friends. Today, I am going to post the recipe of "Matar Mushroom Masala". This is a vegetable dish of peas and mushroom that can be cooked at any occasion and can be served with rice or chapati.

Ingredients

  • Mushroom                           250gm chopped
  • Matar                                 1 Bowl
  • Onion                                 2 pieces chopped
  • Tomato                               2 piece chopped
  • Ginger Garlic Paste             2 teaspoon
  • Coriander Leaves                1 tablespoon
  • Red Chili Powder                1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder                1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder               1 and 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin Powder                    1/2 teaspoon
  • Black Pepper Powder          1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam Masal                      1/2 teaspoon
  • Meat Masala                       1 teaspoon
  • Kashmiri Mirch Powder       1/2 teaspoon
  • Bay Leaves                         1 Leaf
  • Clove                                 2 pieces 
  • Green Cardamom               1 piece
  • Black Cardamom                1 piece
  • Cumin Seeds                      1/2 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon                          1 inch
  • Oil                                     2-3 tablespoon
  • Salt                                   According to taste

Method Of Preparation

Take 2 tablespoon oil in a pan.


Add Cumin seeds, Bay Leaves, Green Cardamom, Black Cardamom, Cinnamon, Clove in the pan.


Add chopped onion in the pan and fry it for 5 minutes at low flame.


Add ginger garlic paste and the fry it till it gets brown.


Add chopped tomato in the mixture.


Stir the mixture till oil starts to leave the sides of the onion-tomato mixture and the color of the mixture becomes golden brown.

Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, kashmiri mirch powder, meat masala powder, salt  and mix them properly in the mixture.

  
  
 
 
  
 
  
 



When this mixture starts to leave oil, mix chopped mushroom in the masala mixture. 


Now add garam masala in the mixture.


Fry the mixture for 4-5 minutes and then add boiled matar in the pan. Mix them properly.


Cook the mixture for 4-5 minutes and then add some water.



When the gravy becomes thick, your matar mushroom masala dish is ready to serve.

Serve it in a serving bowl and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
